Hey All,
Some quick comments and ideas. I was wondering what is meant by the Cloud Tag at the right hand bottom side of the page. It looks a little cluttered to me. What happened to the events that used to show up on the page. The Calendar only seems to highlight the stuff in the archives like sermons and such. Also is it possible to get names and addresses when people sign up as well as email addresses. It would be a good way of keeping our directory up to date.
Anyway I thought this might be a good way to communicate our thoughts about the site. Let me know if this works.

Hi Grant,
A “Tag Cloud” is essentially a popularity contest for tags (tag is an arbitrary keyword attached to a post). I’d agree that (right now) it’s cluttered by the sermon-### tags which could removed or filtered out. That said, the clutter may cure itself as the site grows and posts are presumably tagged along the way.
The Calendar/Events widget? Well, we need a different solution for that. It was causing each and every page to be about 2-3X heavier in terms of download size (i.e. slow page loading), due to dependencies on Google stuff.
p.s. Yes, for now, this post and subsequent comments is a fine way to communicate. I just didn’t notice it until I happened to be checking the Google hits for this site.
Regarding the Directory: Yes, we can automate the process for those that are signed up here. Each user’s profile has fields for entering address, phone, email, etc.
